In-person consultation appointments are available for vintage, custom, or intricate detailed alterations that require a seamstress to review the gown and alterations needed. See the pricing examples below or click the email us button underneath to start an email or in-person consultation request.

What price range am I looking at?

Although pricing depends heavily on your gown, the details, and alterations needed, our average alterations cost per between $480-$680 on alterations before tax for taking in, hemming, taking up straps, and adding a bustle.

To help get a sense of alterations costs and variations, we have included some examples below

Hem, Bridal Gown (shortening the length)

varies based on the style, material, and amount of layers.

Chiffon or Crepe Rolled hem: between $185-$265

Lace-Edge hem: between $248-$350

Large Ballgown Hem: $325-$400

Ruffled Pick-up Hem: $130-$200

Tulle, Multiple layers with Underlayers: $235-$255

Taking in, Bridal Gown:

Side seams, taking in bust and the waist: $200-$275

Princess Seams, taking in/changing the bust cup size or shape: $149-$165

Taking a gown in multiple sizes often requires an in-person consultation to determine how possible the alterations are and go over pricing and options. This often starts at $237 but can be significantly more depending on the alterations required to reshape the gown. As a general rule, most dresses require 30% more on the alterations cost but also may take 2-3X more if significantly more seams are adjusted than the normal side seams.
